“Cybersecurity is key for good business and public trust.”

Cybercrimes is the number one threat both to companies and to governmental organizations. And to improve cybersecurity you need three things: policies, people and security-tech. Both private and public organization, and countries, need to have all these factors in mind. Arno van den Hof, Country Representative for Junglemap urges organizations to consider the risks – and not to being the weakest link in the chain.

More and more organizations realize that cybercrime is the threat number one worldwide. But there is still work to be done. Mats Hultgren, Director of Operations at Truesec, sees the need to tear down the walls between the public and the private sector. “We’re in this together, and we need to cooperate”. Arno van den Hof agrees and points out that not taking care of your company’s cyber security is bad for business, and for governmental organizations it’s a question of public trust. Citizens need to rely on the fact that privacy and information is in good hands.

Robert Willborg, cybersecurity expert and CISO at Junglemap, claims that the only vaccine or long-term cure against cyber-crime is to raise awareness. Only the power of knowledge and awareness, allows you to make the right demands both as a citizen and a customer.
