Omsorgsförvaltningen i Landskrona

For staff working in elderly care and LSS (support and services for people with disabilities), it’s difficult to find time for training. When someone is away, substitutes are needed. But everyone has small windows in their schedules — which can be filled with NanoLearning.“It makes me so happy to read the evaluations from our employees,” says My Erdfelt, development manager in the care services of Landskrona city.

Spread the word

When the Department of Care Services in Landskrona was searching for a digital learning tool, they chose Junglemap — both because of the NanoLearning concept and the platform’s flexibility that allows customers to do a lot themselves.
“Many other systems require costly consultant hours, but here you get truly amazing support from Junglemap’s Customer Success Manager,” says My Erdfelt.

Training for the Entire Department

Landskrona has used NanoLearning, among other things, for cross-departmental onboarding of all new employees. With quality-assured content covering topics such as Lex Sarah and Lex Maria, as well as general topics like confidentiality and value-based work, the content was then tailored to staff in elderly care and LSS.
“You could say we took great content and paired it with a great training method,” says My Erdfelt.

Training is now automatically sent to all new hires via the Active Directory (AD) integration with Junglemap’s platform — an extremely efficient way to onboard new staff. A structural challenge had previously been follow-up, but this has now been addressed with a final test and diploma after completing the training.

Clear Results in Challenging Topics

Another area where the department has used NanoLearning is the important — but difficult — task of documentation. The NanoLearning course was inspired by a training created by Trelleborg municipality. My Erdfelt and her colleagues chose a distribution model where NanoLearning lessons are sent to small workgroups once per week for five weeks, followed by in-person discussion forums led by a documentation coach.
“Documentation is challenging, but it’s something we’re required to do. And we’re seeing clear results in the evaluations,” says My Erdfelt. On the statement “I feel confident in how to document,” the average score increased from 3.8 to 4.3 on a 5-point scale — even before the final discussion session, based solely on the NanoLearning lessons.

Seeing positive and measurable results is, of course, the most important thing. But having oversight of performance and trends also matters. My Erdfelt and her colleagues with access to Junglemap’s platform appreciate having all the data gathered in one place. The dream is eventually to integrate that data with the upcoming HR system.
